Cirque Noël presents the most exciting and pioneering companies in contemporary circus every year around the turn of the year. With its two festivals, La Strada and Cirque Noël, Graz has long been recognized internationally – from Canada across Europe to Australia – as a hotspot for the development of New Circus, a captivating art form with extraordinary potential. While some companies work in a more purist way, focusing primarily on the art of the human body, others are rediscovering a joy in playing with theatrical elements. Cirque Noël 2025 showcases two new productions that reflect this diversity in a truly remarkable way: From December 20, 2025, to January 10, 2026, FLIP Fabrique from Québec, Canada, and Circa from Brisbane, Australia – will perform at the Orpheum Graz.
Around Christmas time, FLIP Fabrique will take audiences on a breathtaking journey full of wonder in Six˚. The group captivates with creativity, joy, and irresistible humor. Five people receive an invitation to an old, mysterious building deep in the woods – their encounter becomes a dazzling moment of acrobatics and contemporary circus.

Evolution, relationships, and the joy in the beautiful chaos of being human – these are the key elements shaping the outstanding productions of Yaron Lifschitz, director of the Australian company Circa. Their production Wolf will be presented by Cirque Noël to welcome the new year. There may be no other circus piece that expresses the deep human delight in physicality and the power of profound connection in such a direct and moving way.

FLIP Fabrique

The company FLIP Fabrique was founded in 2011 by six friends and circus artists. Together, they have been creating contemporary circus productions ever since, marked by an extraordinary ability to move and delight their audiences with playfulness and imagination.
In addition to their large-scale summer shows in Québec City, presented annually since 2015, FLIP Fabrique performs at some of the world’s most renowned festivals. To date, the company has toured in more than 20 countries. Cirque Noël 2025 presents their new production Six°.

Circa is one of the pioneering companies of Contemporary Circus in Australia. Under the direction of circus visionary Yaron Lifschitz, the group – founded in 2004 – has become a global star of the international festival scene, captivating more than two million people in over 45 countries.
Known for their extreme physicality, Circa’s artists push the limits of what is possible in their distinctive productions. Beyond their stage creations, they are deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of contemporary circus artists and regularly offer public workshops. At Cirque Noël 2025, Circa will welcome the new year with Wolf.
